Electrical & Software

The Electrical & Software Department is responsible for all low-voltage systems of our racecar. Unlike the high-voltage tractive system, which powers the motors, our work focuses on the electronic control unit, safety circuits and data management systems that keep the race car reliable and intelligent on track.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Designing and assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs), developed in-house to match the specific needs of our racecar
  • Testing electronic circuits on dedicated testbench to ensure safety and reliability before vehicle integration
  • Developing the wiring harness, which connects all low-voltage systems across the racecar.
  • Writing embedded software for vehicle control, sensors management and communication between systems
  • Implementing telemetry solutions that allow real-time data collection and analysis during testing and competition
  • Designing and developing the driver’s dashboard interface

What are we expecting from applicants:

  • Availability to actively participate in weekly meetings, workshops, and hands-on activities.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics (circuit theory, components, schematics) and/or programming (C/C++, embedded C, Python) + GitHub use.
  • Interest in embedded systems, hardware testing and data acquisition.
  • Willingness to learn PCB design software (Altium Designer) and programming tools such as Arduino IDE.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

By joining this department, new members will face a mix of hardware and software challenges developing their engineering and data analysis skills as well.
